Louise LEE’s humanist impulse has been the major current in sustaining her art practice. She scans, examines and displays the harmony and conflict of human being under different circumstances. Her works recorded the shift of her identity, from one to another in the past 15 years. From a point of view as a citizen, a daughter of a traditional family and a mother of two children, her works are all about her interest in displaying human stories and the urge to express the resiliency of a multi-role female of nowadays world.
Louise has participated in many solo and joint exhibitions in different countries including the and “Residue” in the Jockey Club Atrium in Hong Kong Art Centre in 2020 and “The Black Sheep Murmurs”, in Godwin Bradbeer Studio, Melbourne in 2022. Louise was awarded the Siemen Post Graduate Scholarship in 2003, the top 30 finalists in the Sovereign Art Prize in 2004 and the top 20 finalists in the Hong Kong art prize in 2013.
