Assistant Registrar

Job Duties:-

  • Report to the Registrar, Academic Administration of Hong Kong Art School; and Director of Hong Kong Art School when needed.
  • Oversee the management of all academic administrative services e.g. student admission, enrollment assessment, timetabling, graduation ceremony, quality assurance, accreditation exercise, ordinance
    application etc.
  • Responsible for managing the School’s governance processes and develop/enhance the School’s policies and regulations to ensure it’s in line with the requirements of the governance bodies. Liaise with corresponding government bureaus or professional bodies where necessary.
  • Work closely with the teaching team and the School partners to ensure that the key student lifecycle processes are delivered consistently and accurately.
  • Ensure a proper collection and maintenance of student records and provide necessary statistical reports when needed.
  • Conduct regular review on workflows, guidelines and procedures and make necessary changes to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Provide secretarial support to School committees.
  • Responsible for the leadership, motivation, support and line management of the staff in the relevant registry areas ensuring that appropriate standards of behaviour, performance and customer care are
    demonstrated at all times.
  • Monitor the budget control of academic programmes for the School.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor Degree holder from a tertiary institution or equivalent with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Substantial experience in academic administration.
  • Proven track record of leadership and knowledge about university governance.
  • Strong team building and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Committed to make changes and implement best practices to the School.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese.
