Co-presented by the Hong Kong Art School and RMIT University, the exhibition “Closer Together” is now on display at the Pao Galleries, Hong Kong Arts Centre! The exhibition showcases the works of 15 artists from the HKAS and RMIT community., and you are cordially invited to appreciate their masterpieces in the exhibition from now until January 28th.
In this exhibition, artists were asked to consider the complexities of being closer and together. The themes they delved into are highly diverse, including examining, deconstructing and recreating personal identity through place; reflecting on affinity and social engagement in art; exploring stillness, silence and closeness; expressing the concept of closeness non-verbally, as well as closeness and personal stories through intimate relationships. Through the eyes of artists, Closer Together provides a path to the hidden and offers us a glimpse of the future, which is both hopeful and optimistic. Various activities will be held during the exhibition period, including guided tours, talks, on-site artwork making and artist dialogues. We are looking forward to your participation!
