Starfield Photography Workshop (Beginner)

This ‘stellar’ workshop shines a light on the ethereal beauty of night skies. Students will learn about camera settings, long exposure techniques, composition and post-processing, and have opportunities for on-site shoots in the great outdoors. Under the guidance of professional instructors, students will explore the stunning night sky, discover how to capture the movement of stars, and create unique starry sky photos. More than just a chance to improve photography skills, participants will be spellbound under the blanket of a star-studded sky.

Students will:

  1. Learn to take high-quality photos of star fields and star trails with their camera
  2. Use professional software Lightroom Classic and StarStax for post-processing

Students are required to bring a camera with interchangeable lenses / mobile phone, tripod, shutter release cable and memory card. For post-processing class, students are required to bring their own laptop.

Dates and times of outdoor sections are for reference only. These may change depending on the weather conditions. Students will be informed of the outdoor sections details before lesson.
