Pottery Perfection| Throwing: Shaping and Decoration (Wednesday Class)

Welcome to the enchanting world of pottery, where every piece holds a story of age-old traditions and creative flair. Explore how decorations bring both beauty and practicality to pottery, transforming each creation into a unique and cherished work of art.

In ancient times, artisans meticulously handcrafted pottery, paddling it with clay to enhance its density and durability. This technique not only left behind intricate patterns and rope marks that transformed each piece into a visual masterpiece, it also provided a textured surface for a secure grip.

Come experience how the magic of decorating pottery continues to thrive. Use everyday objects as tools of creativity, pressing into the clay to unveil distinctive and mesmerising patterns.
Students are required to bring their aprons to class.
