Experimental 3D Clay Printing
3D printer offers a new, more convenient way to create objects. But when using clay as the printing material, it is important to understand its limits and properties as well as how to apply ceramics techniques in creative work.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of operating a 3D printer and its software and experiment with shaping the printed objects. This course is suitable for anyone interested in pottery and 3D printing, no prior experience is needed.
Students are required to bring their aprons to class.

Silvester Mok
Silvester is a Hong Kong ceramics artist who graduated in 2021 from the Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) programme co-presented by Hong Kong Art School and RMIT University, majoring in ceramics.
As a result of combining his two favourites, media of 3D modelling and ceramics, Silvester works mainly with 3D printed ceramics.
He has participated in various exhibitions, including two solo shows in 2021, Moiré and Coherence. His works had been showcased at Art Basel Hong Kong 2022 and Fine Art Asia 2022.
